Queen B has done it again and is #winning in every sense of the word – legally and all. After indie filmmaker Matthew Fulks sued her in June, stating the trailer for Lemonade imitated nine aspects of his short film, Palinoia, the judge threw out the claim.
One month later, B’s attorneys shot back, saying the “graffiti and persons with heads down,” “side-lit ominous figures,” and “parking garage” are exactly what do not constitute copyright infringement.
U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff then granted B’s motion to dismiss Wednesday.
The hive can calm its swarm now.
